LUCAS STOCK INDEX

The Lucas Stock Index (LSI) declined 1.77% during the second period of trading in July 2019.  The stocks of five companies were traded, with 108,366 shares changing hands. There was one Climber and two Tumblers. The stocks of Banks DIH (DIH) rose 6% on the sale of 61,140 shares. On the other hand, the stocks of Republic Bank Limited (RBL) declined 11.29% on the sale of 19,489 shares. The stocks of the Demerara Distillers Limited (DDL) also declined 0.12% on the sale of 25,259 shares. In the meanwhile, the stocks of Sterling Products Limited (SPL) and Guyana Bank for Trade & Industry (BTI) remained unchanged on the sale of 2,381 and 97 shares, respectively. The LSI closed at 549.41.
