Odessa Primus takes ‘Talk De Tingz’ to Sophia

Comedian and outstanding actress, Odessa Primus will tonight put on a comedy production dubbed ‘Talk De Tingz’ billed for Cappy Place in Dennis Street, Sophia. Taking the stage alongside Primus are some of Guyana’s finest comedians known for making any event as hilarious as it can get.

Making onstage appearances with Odessa are Mark Kazim famously known as Chine Man, Michael Ignatius also known as Credit, Mark Luke Edwards and Kunchie ‘Miss Pepper’ Regnolds. The Sophia ‘C’ Division Police Youth Group will be featured also.

Odessa told The Scene that the event is an opportunity to talk about everything from social issues to politics. While the show is geared to afford riotous comedy, it has been tailored for the children in the audience and will be considered suitable and highly entertaining for all.

The standup comedian noted that this is the first time she will be bringing a comedy show to Sophia and anticipates the evening. Since it is also the community she lives in Primus further said that she recognizes the need for entertainment and rebranding of Sophia. Therefore, she is taking a step towards contributing to such. “Social cohesion is extremely important and we should all play a part. This is just my contribution” the comedian said.

The three-time queen of ‘Uncensored’, who hails from Bartica has since added Talk De Tingz to the Bartica Regatta calendar of activities. The comedians/actors are expected to be in the town on April 14th to rock Bartica with laughter.

Odessa hinted that plans are in place to take the show to other parts of the country in the latter part of the year.

Odessa wishes to acknowledge the show’s major sponsors Ansa Mcal and Payless for thir support.

The event will have the presence of the police so as to maintain order.

Cappy Place is situated next to the Love and Faith Church in Sophia.

Tickets cost $1,000 for general admission, VIP $3,500 and children, $300. Talk De Tingz tickets can be purchased at – Redshop, Swift Taxi, Noel & Daughter Variety Store and Mr. Bob Shop. The show starts at 8pm.
