Another person has been admitted to the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) Intensive Care Unit (ICU), according to the latest Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) COVID-19 update.

The Guyana COVID-19 dashboard, posted on the MoPH’s Facebook page yesterday, stated that three persons are currently in the ICU. On Friday, two persons were in ICU.

The number of recovered cases, confirmed cases, and deaths remained the same at 24, 82, and 9, respectively, as no new test results were released yesterday. Up to Friday, 582 persons had been tested.

Although there were reports that the machine used to analyze COVID-19 tests was down, the MoPH Public Relations Officer Terrence Esseboom denied the reports when contacted by this newspaper, saying that the machine is fully functional.
