No new COVID-19 tests reported for second day

For the second day in a row, no new tests for COVID-19 have been reported  raising concerns as whether there is a problem at the National Public Health Reference Lab.

The number of deaths remains at nine.

The number of tests recorded as of Friday was 582 and this remained unchanged on Saturday and yesterday when the Ministry was to have been ramping up tests.

Sources tell Stabroek News that some persons have been waiting for four days for test results.

Yesterday’s dashboard released by the Ministry of Public Health shows that three persons are in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit.
