The Ministry of Public Health’s Health Emergency Operations Centre (HEOC) is now conducting COVID-19 screening and testing at La Parfaite Harmonie Police Station. The three-day operation, which is the latest mobile testing initiative, began yesterday and saw five persons screened, with two tested for the coronavirus after having met the required criteria.

Dr. Keon Harmon, head of the HEOC, is inviting residents of the community to come out and be screened.

Thus far, the Ministry has conducted mobile testing in East La Penitence, Sophia, Kitty, Bourda and South Ruimveldt. The Ministry started mobile testing to make it easier for persons to access screening and testing services, by bringing it to their communities.

Testing is slated to be conducted between the hours of 9am and 3pm. Harmon, however, noted that the schedule may vary due to the Demerara Harbour bridge schedule.
