No bail for ‘Angel’ accused of stealing bracelet

A man was yesterday remanded to prison on a simple larceny charge after being accused of stealing a gold and diamond bracelet.

Akeem Hodge, also known as ‘Angel, was faced with the charge when he appeared before a city magistrate.

It was alleged that Hodge stole a white gold and diamond bracelet from virtual complainant Jennelle Blackman.

The matter was reported to the Alberttown Police Station on Wednesday and Hodge allegedly went into hiding. However, he was later apprehended by the police and brought before the court.

The prosecutor objected to bail based on the fact that Hodge has old matters before the court. He was further remanded to prison until June 25th, 2020.
