This note is to extend best wishes to Irfaan Ali as he begins his new innings as the President of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana. As the saying goes, “May today’s success be the beginning of tomorrow’s achievements.” The birth of his presidency has been long and arduous, and it comes at a momentous time in Guyanese history. It is my sincere wish that the turbulence is behind him, and that he can count on the support of all Guyanese as he leads the nation over the next five years.
