Dear Editor,
The memorial piece entitled Mr. Toolsie Persaud: “Pioneering Guyana’s Development” was a wonderful collage of a beautiful man’s life in summary! He truly was incredible; he demonstrated an unquenchable passion for life, an insatiable entrepreneurial and pioneering spirit which built an empire and an extraordinary legacy. He remained humble and true to his family. Uncle Toolsie loved his family and their families; a love he showed at every opportunity and in countless ways.
He was a visionary; constantly reinventing and expertly guiding his businesses successfully over some 70 plus years. As a true testament to the quality of the man he was, his family and their families adored him and it is safe to say he has left an indelible impression on them/us all!
Uncle Toolsie lives on in memories of our interactions with him and the lives he has shaped and created for others. Uncle, may your magnanimous soul rest in peace.
