The Ministry of Health today said that as of 5pm today, two other persons who tested positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) have died. This takes the total number of deaths from the pandemic to 80.
The latest fatalities, the ministry said, are a 77-year-old male and a 67 year- old woman from Demerara-Mahaica (Region 4) respectively. They both died while receiving care at the state medical facility.
