Four more deaths take COVID-19 death toll to 102

The Health Ministry on Friday reported four new COVID-19 deaths, including a 28-year-old Region Two resident, which took the country’s death toll to 102.  

The Ministry of Health revealed that just before 2pm, two deaths more were recorded—that of a 57-year-old man from Region Seven, and a 43-year-old man from Region Three. They both died while receiving care at public health facilities.

Subsequently, two more deaths were announced. They were identified as a 28-year-old man from Region Two and a 57-year-old man from Region Four. They also died while receiving care at public health facilities.

Meanwhile, the ministry yesterday afternoon also reported that 29 additional COVID-19 cases were recorded from 118 more test results, taking the total number of cases recorded since March 11 to 3,358. The additional cases were recorded in seven of the ten administrative regions, with five cases recorded in Region One, one in Region Two, four in Region Three, 15 in Region Four, two cases in Region Five and one case each in Region Six and Region Seven.

Up to the end of Thursday there were 1,063 active cases in the country, with 15 persons in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit, 948 persons in home isolation, while 115 were in institutional isolation.
