Judiciary condemns intrusion at CJ’s premises

The Judiciary of Guyana yesterday said it views with deep concern and dismay the intrusion and attack on the security and home of the Chief Justice of Guyana, Roxane George-Wiltshire.

Such attacks on any citizen cannot be condoned, Chancellor of the Judiciary, Justice Yonette Cummings-Edwards  said in  statement last night on the incident that occurred yesterday.

“We understand that this matter is under investigation and has seized the attention of the highest level of the Police Force.

“The Judiciary looks forward to a speedy resolution of the investigation even as it continues to discharge its functions and uphold the rule of law”, the statement added.
