The Ministry of Health’s (MoH) dashboard yesterday recorded 30 new cases after 338 persons were tested.

Region 4 accounted for half of yesterday’s new cases while the remaining cases were recorded in five regions.

The five other regions to have confirmed new cases were regions 1 with 5 new cases, region 3 (1 new case), region 7 (4 new cases), region 8 (4 new cases), and region 10 (1 new case). Eleven persons remain in the ICU, 63 are in institutional isolation, 49 in institutional quarantine, and 778 persons are reported to be in home isolation. The death toll remains at 134 with the latest COVID fatality reported to be a 58-year-old-man from Region 4.  There are 4,514 confirmed cases in Guyana to date after a total of 22,092 persons were tested.
