70 more COVID-19 cases recorded

The Ministry of Health (MoH) yesterday revealed that 70 additional cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) have been recorded, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 4, 794 since the first was recorded in March.

According to the daily COVID-19 dashboard released yesterday, 48 of the confirmed cases are from Region Four, 7 from Region One, 5 from Region Seven, 3 each from Region Eight and Region Ten, 2 from Region Two and 1 each from Region Three and Region Six. The positive cases were from the results of 414 tests that were conducted.

Additionally, the dashboard revealed that there were nine persons in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 48 persons in institutional isolation, 874 in home isolation and 36 persons in institutional quarantine.

The death toll remained at 138.
