Caribbean Airlines is now offering a weekly service between the Cheddi Jagan International Airport, Guyana and the Jose Marti International, Havana, Cuba, which started on November 21. Flights will operate every Saturday.
In a statement today, CAL said as per Civil Aviation regulations, each flight into/out of Havana, will transit via Trinidad, however, passengers will not disembark the aircraft.
Last year thousands of Cubans visited the country to apply for US visas and to shop here. The arrivals were curtailed by the COVID lockdown earlier this year.
