Man shot in Albouystown attack gets hospital discharge

The man who was shot in an attack in Albouystown on November 1st has been discharged from the hospital but the shooter is still on the run.

Shannan Greaves, the mother of Devon Cromwell, 30, of Cooper Street, Albouystown, told this newspaper that about two weeks after being shot twice in the early morning hours on November 1, her son was discharged from the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation and is now using crutches to walk.

The shooting took place at Victoria Street, Albouystown, at about 2 am on November 1st. Greaves said that her son suffered two bullet wounds to the abdomen. He was rushed to the hospital, where he underwent surgery to have the bullets removed.  She said that he was discharged about a week ago.

She recalled that she was asleep at her Cooper Street home when someone called for her and then informed her that her son had been involved in a shooting. She said that she rushed to Victoria Street, where she found her son lying on the road covered in blood. She said when she arrived her son spoke to her and told her who had shot at him. She also said that eye witnesses confirmed his information to her as well.

Greaves previously said that her son and the shooter have a grievance that dates back to about six years. However, she was under the impression that their differences were settled since they were on speaking terms. She said that she now suspects they had another falling out.
