28 more COVID-19 cases confirmed

The Ministry of Health (MoH) yesterday disclosed that an additional 28 coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases have been confirmed.

This brings the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country to 5,338 since March. The new cases were detected from 367 samples that were tested on Friday. Of the total number of new cases, 14 are from Region Ten, 7 from Region Four, 5 from Region Seven and 1 each from Region One and Region Three.

According to the daily COVID-19 dashboard, there are 3 persons in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 87 persons in institutional isolation, 782 in home isolation and 41 persons in institutional quarantine.

Up to yesterday, 149 COVID-19 deaths had been recorded.

According to daily dashboards released from last Sunday to yesterday, a total of 245 positive COVID-19 cases were recorded from the 2,285 test results released during the same period. Additionally, six persons who were infected with the virus died during that time.
