(Trinidad Guardian) Contrary to earlier reports, there is no one in custody in relation to the death of Krystal Primus-Espinoza, according to the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS).

Previous reports indicated that a close male relative was in custody, but that is not the case, as a cause of death is yet to be determined.

Until a cause of death is determined, there won’t be sufficient basis for prospective persons of interest to be taken in custody, the TTPS said.

A post-mortem to determine the cause of death is expected to take place next week, between Monday 7th and Wednesday 9th December 2020.

But, before that occurs, a COVID-19 test must be carried out, as is the standard process at this time.

The body of the 36-year-old mother was found at Penzance Beach in Toco yesterday afternoon, Thursday 3 December 2020.
