Thirty-two new COVID cases reported

Thirty-two new COVID-19 cases were recorded yesterday.

This increase was seen on the Ministry of Health’s COVID-19 dashboard which showed that the 32 new cases moved the total number of positive confirmed cases to 5,732.

The cases were recorded after some 385 more persons were tested which also increased the total number of tests to 32,782.

According to the regional breakdown, the new cases were recorded in five of the country’s ten administrative regions. Some 11 cases were recorded in Region Four, 17 in Region Six, two in Region Three and one case each in Regions Two and Eight.

There are currently 685 active cases in the country, 638 of which are in approved home isolation while the other 47 are in isolation at institutions. Some 5 persons are patients at the country’s COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

Eighteen more persons have recovered from the virus which increased the total number of recovered cases to 4,888.
