`Currying favour’

Dear Editor,

The call to hold government to fulfill promises made to an opposition stronghold, while as it should be, can be seen as partisan.

We have not been told what promises made to its stronghold when in government were kept and delivered, but now we are adamant promises made by the incumbent must be properly fulfilled and not just ‘currying favour’ with the region.

All promises made by any government should be kept and fulfilled and the call should be across all regions and not just a partisan call because it is the base of its stronghold.

Yours faithfully,

Shamshun Mohamed
