Mon Repos pork-knocker shot in legs

A twenty-four-year-old pork-knocker is currently a patient at the Port Kaituma District Hospital after he was shot in both legs last Thursday following an argument with an intoxicated man at Five Star Landing, North West District.

According to a police report, the injured man, Satesh Ramnarine of Mon Repos, East Coast Demerara was on Thursday at about 4.30pm cooking at a building in which he resides when the suspect who appeared to be drunk approached him and started an argument before he left.

About five minutes later, Ramnarine was standing outside of the building when a colleague  warned him to run at which point, Ramnarine realized the suspect was pointing a shotgun at him. Ramnarine related to the police that he heard an explosion before he felt a burning sensation and numbness to both of his legs. The victim then ran to an abandoned building and locked himself inside.
