Man remanded over $4m theft from Cuba Dollar Store

An unemployed man was yesterday remanded after being accused of breaking into a business and stealing items amounting to over $4M.

Twenty-eight-year-old Tony Singh was yesterday remanded by Principal Magistrate Sherdel Isaacs-Marcus during his appearance at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court.

The charge against him states that between January 4 and January 5, at Lot 178 Alexander Street, Georgetown, he broke into and entered the Cuba Dollar Store and stole a quantity of items amounting to $4,120,700, property of Natoya Sills.

The man was remanded to prison.
