Digicel to anoint 14 millionaires

Starting yesterday, and for 14 days, 14 of Digicel’s  customers can expect to become millionaires by participating in the mobile operator’s “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” promotion.

Digicel, is celebrating 14 years in Guyana, and in a press release issued yesterday, the operator is taking its promise of “Simply More” by rewarding its loyal customers with the opportunity to become millionaires, win free daily credit, laptops, and daily cash prizes.

The “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” promotion gives prepaid and postpaid customers on an active Prime Bundle, or who top up with $1,400 or more, an entry to win one million dollars ($1,000,000) daily. There will also be a special surprise for any winner who has been with the network since 2007. One hundred customers will be rewarded with $1,400 in free credit daily, and customers performing any activity on the said days will qualify, whether sending a text, making a call, browsing, activating a plan, or using any of Digicel’s eight apps Billo, MyDigicel app, DMusic, Bip, GoLoud, PlayGo, Sportsmax, Loop.

Social media fans who follow Digicel’s Facebook page (Digicel Guyana), will have the opportunity to win one of fourteen laptops. Trivia questions will be posted daily from February 1st, and one of 14 customers who correctly answers can be a winner. There will be a daily cash prize of $20,000 for the music and messaging lovers – Digicel’s customers can download the Bip messenger app from the Play Store or App Store and be part of the daily Bip Trivia and have a chance of winning $20,000 daily. Music lovers can also stream the “Ultimate Valentine’s Day” playlist in the DMusic app and gain a chance to be 1 of 3 winners of $140,000. On Feb 14th, customers on an eligible Prime Bundle can “Shake to Win” in the MyDigicel app and secure a chance to win 1 of 14 laptops; the promotion also ends on February 14.
