Today, between 05:00 hours and 09:00 hours, the police say that ranks of Regional Division 4A conducted a cordon and search in the following areas;
1. Alberttown
2. Kitty
3. A, D, C and Plum Park Sophia
4. Guyhoc
5. East Front Road
6. Back Circle
7. Albouystown
8. Leopold Street
9. Stabroek Market
10. Rasville, and;
11. Broad Street, Charlestown.
Several drug blocks, houses, motor vehicles and persons were searched. Arrested are:
1. A 44 year old clothes vendor of Kitty – pending investigations of trafficking in narcotics to wit:- 63 grams of Cannabis,
2. A 20 year old vendor of Rasville, possession of narcotics to wit 11.9 grams of Cannabis,
3. A 40 year old businessman of Charlestown for possession of narcotics,
4. A 21 year old unemployed of Sophia for robbery under arms and;
5. A 24 year old porter of Sophia both for robbery under arms.
Three motorcycles (CB1, Honda Wave and a 150 Suzuki), one pedal cycle and a quantity of tobacco leaves (flonto) were also seized and lodged pending investigations, the police said.
