Two women, 81, among four new COVID deaths

The Ministry of Health (MoH) yesterday confirmed the deaths of four more persons who were infected with COVID-19.

As a result, the country’s death toll from the virus now stands at 267.

The latest fatalities included two women, both 81, from regions Three and Six, and two men, one 64 and the other 46, from Region Four.

With the latest fatalities, there have been 34 deaths to date for the current month.

Meanwhile, according to the COVID-19 dashboard, 115 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed yesterday. Four of the cases are from Region One, 26 from Region Three, 69 from Region Four, 3 from Region Five, 6 from Region Six and 7 from Region Ten.

The new cases were recorded from the testing of some 988 samples.

The dashboard also showed that there are 13 persons in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit, 77 in institutional isolation, 1,224 in home isolation and 12 in home quarantine. It also showed that 10,061 persons have recovered from infections.
