Fashion auction series set for May

El Dorado Tours presents a Designers Fashion Auction and afternoon tea series that is likely to begin on May 1 and continues for four consecutive weekends where designers will have the opportunity to have their latest designs sold.

Managing Director of El Dorado Tours Lynn Ronnkvist said, “It’s our contribution to the fashion and art industry.”

Lynn noted the significant impact the pandemic is having on the art and fashion industry and as a result, is hosting an event with the intention of helping designers and models. At present registration is still open for designers and models.

The former runway model explained that the event will cater for between 25 to 50 people and will be held in an open space. Additionally, all persons will be required to wear face masks, maintain their social distance and will be sanitized and have their temperatures checked upon entry. The idea of the run-on of the event in the following weekends will allow for designers to better prepare their pieces as well as cater for smaller audiences.

Attendees can start purchasing their auction cards. The event, Lynn shared, will be virtual also and will allow for viewers to place bids on designs they like. Each design, she noted, will start at a reasonable bidding price.

Lynn who has spent 12 years in the fashion industry as a model has graced many runways in Europe. Her last appearance was at Brooklyn Fashion Week in 2018.

Lynn is also the founder of the Shades Women’s Club, as well as director, choreographer, and dancer for the Enigma Dance Company. At present her dance troupe is preparing to participate at the World Championship Performing Arts in California in November. In 2018, Lynn took a group of dancers to the World of Dance Trinbago Competition where they were awarded first place.

The date for the auction is tentative but is definitely set for May. Designers Fashion Auction will be aired virtually via El Dorado Tours as well as by sponsors on Facebook.
