Three men die of COVID, 101 new cases recorded

The Ministry of Health today said that three men who tested positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) have died. This takes the total number of deaths from the pandemic to 271.

The latest fatalities are, an 80-year-old from Region 6 (East Berbice- Corentyne), a 62-year- old man from Region 4 (Demerara-Mahaica) and a 69-year-old male from Region Three (Essequibo Islands – West Demerara). They died while receiving care at the ministry’s medical facility.

Meanwhile, the ministry today reported that there were 101 new cases of COVID-19. Twelve persons are in the ICU.
