Cooper St man fatally stabbed after cell phone row, bulletin issued for suspect

Jomal Adams, 29, was stabbed to death yesterday with a pair of scissors after an argument over a cell phone.

The police today issued a wanted bulletin for Rondell Richardson, 29, in connection with the stabbing.

The police said that according to an eyewitness the argument erupted at Back Circle, East Ruimveldt.

According to the police,  an eyewitness stated that the suspect and victim were arguing over a cellphone. He then saw the suspect stab the victim in the chest with an unknown object and the victim ran in a northern direction.

The suspect then gave chase behind the victim and stabbed him in his back.

Adams, of Lot 35 Cooper Street, ran into his yard and fell to the ground while the suspect ran away in a western direction. He  dropped a black object.

The eyewitness went up to the victim and saw a part of a pair of scissors stuck in his back and saw that the object dropped was the black handle of a scissors.

The police said that the victim was taken to Georgetown Public Hospital and went into surgery immediately.

He died at about 3.20 pm  while receiving treatment. A stab wound was seen to the  left side of his chest and another to the  right side of his upper back.
