Two for trial over murder of Laing Avenue taxi driver

Rambarose, for the 2016 murder of Laing Avenue taxi driver Orin David, is set to commence this morning before Justice Sandil Kissoon at the High Court in Georgetown.

A jury was empaneled yesterday to hear the case.

The prosecution, led by state counsel Lisa Cave, will be calling just over a dozen witnesses to the stand.

The charge against Jefford, also known as ‘Smokey,’ and Rambarose, also known as ‘Spleen,’ states that on August 1, 2016, at Laing Avenue, they murdered David.

Rambarose is being represented by attorney-at-law George Thomas; while Jefford is being represented by Senior Counsel Stanley Moore.
