GECOM Chair asks Myers to show why she shouldn’t be dismissed

GECOM Chair, Justice (retired) Claudette Singh has written to Deputy Chief Election Officer (CEO) Roxanne Myers giving her up to June 15th to show cause why she shouldn’t be dismissed.

The letter of today’s date followed the tabling of a motion earlier in the day by two government-appointed commissioners for the dismissal of Myers over her conduct in relation to the March 2nd, 2020 general elections.

Motions for dismissal were also issued against the CEO Keith Lowenfield and District Four Returning Officer Clairmont Mingo. The GECOM Chair was expected to issue similar letters to Lowenfield and Mingo asking them to show cause why they should not be dismissed.
