(Trinidad Guardian) The death toll from COVID-19 has crossed 700.

The Ministry of Health yesterday reported 14 more deaths, taking the figure from 699 to 713.

Active cases now stand at 8,578 people, of whom 452 are in hospital.

Yesterday’s figures meant that the total number of COVID-19 cases in T&T from the start of the pandemic crossed 30,000.

The figure announced by the Ministry of Health was 30,183.

Meanwhile a record 9,185 people received vaccination jabs in the last 24 hours.

Of those, 6,505 were people receiving second doses and 2,680 receiving first doses.

As of yesterday, 173,878 people have received first doses and 36,620 second doses.
