Digicom supports Wong ahead of upcoming engagements

National table tennis player Miguel Wong has received sponsorship from Digicom ahead of upcoming engagements.

Wong departs Guyana for Germany today to undergo specialized training ahead of his participation at the International Table Tennis  Federation’s (ITTF) Pan American championships in Lima, Peru from November 13-19.

He is also down to participate at the Junior Pan American Games in Cali, Colombia from November 30 – December 5.

Wong last night told Stabroek Sport that he is scheduled to leave Guyana tonight.

While in Germany he will undergo training at the Topspin Tischtennis Centre, in Bad Aibling, Munich before travelling to Peru and then Colombia.

He previously spent about a year in Germany where he honed his skills and participated in tournaments which allowed him a world ranking.

Apart from Digicom, Wong has received sponsorship from Everest Cricket Club, Beacon Café, Taco Loco Restaurant,  Zoon Online Shopping and the Guyana Beverage Company through their `Altitude’ sports drink brand.
