Over 650,000 doses of COVID vaccines have been administered

Since February this year when vaccination against the COVID-19 virus began, the Ministry of Health has administered over 650,000 doses.

According to the Ministry’s Facebook page, 375,640 adults have received a first dose of one of the various COVID vaccines on offer and 235,081 of these persons have received a second dose. Since vaccination of adolescents began, 26,683 of them have received a first dose and 16,991 of them have received a second dose. This gives a grand total of 654,395.

The total number of doses administered to adults so far is 610,721. It is believed that relative safety from the virus will be achieved when around 500,000 persons are fully vaccinated, meaning around 1,000,000 doses administered.
