Pepsi Hikers maintained their unbeaten record while GCC Roulette and GCC Spartans secured easy wins when the ExxonMobil National Indoor Hockey Championship continued Thursday at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall, Homestretch Avenue.

In the men’s first-division, Pepsi Hikers mauled YMCA Old Fort by an 11-0 score line. Aroydy Branford led the rout with a helmet-trick while Robert France fashioned a hat-trick.

Adding one goal each were Randy Hope, Jamarj Assanah, Orlando Machado, and Rayon Branford. In the women’s division, GCC Spartans downed Saints by 2-0 compliments of goals from Vanessa Pires and Gabriella Xavier.

Similarly, GCC Roulette brushed aside GCC Ignite 4-1. Abosaide Cadogan bagged a brace, while Lea Berlie and Shebiki Baptiste netted one goal each respectively. For the loser, Makeda Harding found the back of the net.

In other results, 50 Not-Out defeated Saints 4-2 in the men’s first-division. Philip Fernandes recorded a hat-trick while sibling Alan Fernandes scored once.

For the loser, Baraka Garnett and Hilmar Chester netted one goal apiece. Meanwhile, In the men’s second-division, YMCA Old Fort defeated Saints Sensations 3-1.

Shaquon Favorite recorded a hat-trick in the win. On the other side, Naresh Mahadeo scored. GCC Pitbulls crushed Saints Scorpions 5-1.

Meshach Sargeant tallied a hat-trick while Samuel Woodroffe and Lennox Carrol scored one goal respectively. For Saints Scorpions, Baraka Garnett etched his name on the scorer’s sheet.

The event continues today and tomorrow with the final round of group matches inclusive of the respective divisional finals.
