Three men succumb to COVID, 665 new cases

The Ministry of Health today said that as of January 10th, 2022, three more men who tested positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) have died.

This takes the total number of deaths from the pandemic to 1073.

The latest fatalities are two men from Region Four, ages 71 and 77. The 71-year-old was unvaccinated while the vaccination status of the 77-year-old is unknown. The third fatality, is an unvaccinated man, 81, from Region Six.

Meanwhile, the Ministry reported 665 news cases of  COVID, a steep number in line with the trend over the last week. Thirteen persons are in the ICU, a significant rise from recent days.
