The Health Ministry on Friday reported that 20 new COVID-19 cases had been recorded from the latest batch of tests.
With the new cases, Guyana has to date recorded a total of 63,127 cases to date since the first patient two years ago.
In addition to the new cases, the ministry’s updated COVID-19 dashboard showed that there were 5 persons in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit, 9 persons in institutional isolation and 199 persons in home isolation.
The death toll remains at 1,224.
