Brother charged with killing Alberttown baker

Richard Anthony, 37, who is accused of killing his drunken younger brother after an argument in Alberttown, Georgetown, was on Monday charged with manslaughter.

Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan read the charge to Anthony at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts.

It was alleged that on March 11, at Third Street, Alberttown, Georgetown, he killed Rondel Moses Anthony, 25. He was not required to plead and was remanded to prison until March 28.

According to the police, the two men, who were brothers, were involved in an argument which later resulted in the stabbing of Rondel. It was reported that Rondell, a baker, was intoxicated when he returned home and later became involved in an argument with his brother. An altercation ensued and Richard allegedly picked up a piece of ceramic tile, which he used to inflict the fatal injury.
