Cyclists get ready, the racing season continues tomorrow in Essequibo

Following the Independence Three-Stage road race which was staged last weekend in Berbice, Georgetown, and the Mining Town, the nation’s best wheelsmen will renew their rivalry in the Cinderella County.

Jamual John, Raynauth Jeffrey, Paul DeNobrega, Walter Grant-Stuart, Christopher Griffith, Curtis Dey, and Robin Persaud, are among the big names scheduled to compete.

According to President of the Guyana Cycling Federation (GCF), Linden Dowridge, just like the Three-Stage, tomorrow’s event will be sponsored by the National Sports Commission.

Dowridge informed that the 62-mile road race will pedal off at 08:00hrs at Charity, proceed to Supenaam, and conclude at Anna Regina.

Lucrative prizes will be up for grabs for the top finishers in the Open, Junior, Veteran Over and Under 50, and Female categories.
