Over $15m in up for grabs in Digicel promotion

Over $15m in cash is up for grabs during this year’s Digicel Summer Cash Vault  promotions, where one  lucky customer could win up to $3 million dollars.

This was disclosed at the launch yesterday at the Pegasus Hotel, Georgetown.

At the launch, which saw four members of the media wining cash to start the promotions, Communications Manager of Digicel, Vidya Sanichar said that customers just have to Top Up with a $1000 or more and they would receive a letter of the word “cash”.  They can then text the word “Grab” to 1441 and keep tabs of the letters they have collected. Once they have all four letters they would have a chance at winning a million or three million dollars.

Sanichar disclosed that the promotion would run for six weeks starting today, July 15 to August 25.   There would be two live drawings on August 6 and 27. The lucky winner would enter a “vault where a million dollars in $1000 coupons will be up for grabs. Lucky persons would try to grab as many of the wind driven swirling coupons, as they can.

At the very lively launch, in a surprise move, media operatives were asked to sign their names as the came in. The numbers corresponding with the names, were then placed in a bag from which four numbers were pulled.  Those lucky reporters got a chance to be the first in the vault to grab as much as the swirling coupons as they could.  Navendra Seoraj, Kester Pompey, Aliyah Allicock and Renay Sambach walked away with $18,000, $50,000, $42,000 and $50,000 respectively after what they grabbed was doubled by Digicel.

Sanichar revealed that members of the media would also have an opportunity to participate and win money at the two live drawing, without having to top up.
