The car which Francis used to run over Boston

Reports are that the couple, who shared two children together, were in car, PAB 8894 driven by Francis when they had a misunderstanding.

In a bid to escape Francis, Boston reportedly jumped out of the car and ran into a nearby rice field.

Francis chased after Boston in his vehicle and ran over her. He then took his own life by consuming a poisonous substance.

While Boston died at the scene, Francis was rushed to the Suddie Hospital, where he succumbed around 13.05hrs.

Additional information reaching Stabroek News revealed that Boston’s mother reported to the police yesterday morning that Francis was trying to kill her daughter.

A team of police officers responded and proceeded to Riverstown Nursery School Dam.

Upon arrival, they saw Francis’ car in a rice field. All of the windows were up.

Boston’s lifeless body was found about 10 feet from the vehicle. They were gaping wounds to her face and mouth.

A plastic bag was found in her left hand. It contained a suspected poisonous substance.

Francis’ body was found in the driver seat of the car in an inclined position.

A farmer who witnessed the couple’s final moments reported to the police that he was in his farm spraying his plants when he noticed the car heading west on Riverstown Nursery School Dam.

The man explained that the car turned around after which he heard screams. He then saw Boston jump out of the front passenger seat of the car and run east on the dam.

Shortly after, he said the car drove behind Boston at a fast rate of speed

The man added that although Boston ran into a nearby rice field, the car followed her, struck her down and ran over her.

It then stopped and Francis exited the driver’s seat and asked for assistance, the man said.

The police were summoned.  The murder suicide came just two days after a man chopped his sleeping adult son to death, before launching an attack on his common-law wife, who he wounded and burned, before ending his own life. It is still not clear what triggered now dead Ann’s Grove farmer Leon Bobb but relatives had said he had accused his wife, Sharon Scott, of infidelity. In the wee hours of Wednesday morning, Bobb chopped his son Seon Seon, 21, to death while he was asleep. He then chopped Sharon several times about her body, drenched her in gasoline and set her ablaze. The woman, however, managed to escape. He later ingested a poisonous substance, cut himself in the abdomen and also set himself ablaze.

Scott was hospitalized with wounds and first degree burn injuries as a result of the attack.
