According to his sister-in-law, Jaswantie Rajkumar, of Lot 42 Cotton Tree, Yusuf left home in his car to head out for a pick up when minutes after they received news that he was involved in an accident on the main road. “We run and go out and we see the car and we see him and he neck bruk when I see him,” Rajkumar said

The sister-in-law explained that an oncoming car clipped Yusuf’s vehicle while he was navigating the Cotton Tree turn, causing it to flip multiple times.

The Guyana Police Force later said in a statement the driver of the other vehicle, was Colin Bynoe, a 33-year-old teacher of Kildonan Village in Corentyne Berbice
