Taxi driver charged with cybercrimes over sharing of teacher’s private pics

A taxi driver was on Monday slapped with two cybercrime charges for sharing a teacher’s private photographs.

Champion Chichester, 35, appeared before Principal Magistrate Sherdel Isaacs-Marcus in Georgetown, where he denied the two charges.

The particulars of the first offence states that on July 22, 2022, at Georgetown, intentionally published, through a cellphone, private photos of a 32-year-old female teacher without her consent.

The father of three allegedly repeated these actions on July 25.

The prosecutor had no objections to bail and so Chichester was asked to post $50,000 bail for each charge. He was also ordered to stay 100 feet away from the woman and not to make contact with her.

The matter was then adjourned until October 3 for statements.
