As part of the week of activities to celebrate World Maritime Day 2022, the Maritime Administration Department Guyana distributed life vests/ jackets to speed boat operators at the Parika Stelling.
The handing over took place on Saturday and will be followed by other distributions in the coming week, a release from the Ministry of Public Works said.
Ministers Juan Edghill and Deodat Indar joined Captain Stephen Thomas, Director General of MARAD and Thandi McAllister, Director- Legal Services at MARAD for the exercise.
