Region #3 and Region #7 recorded contrasting wins when the ‘One Guyana President’s Cup’ Football Championship continued last evening at the National Track and Field Centre, Leonora.
Region #3 dismantled Region #2 by an 11-0 score-line. Leo Lovell led the rout with a helmet trick in the 12th, 18th, 32nd, and 52nd minute, while Delon Lanferman tallied a double in the 19th and 48th minute, and Dexroy Adams added a second half brace in the 63rd and 80th minute.
Supporting with goals in the 41st, 71st and 73rd minute respectively were Chris Macey, Malcolm Miggins and Trayon Bobb.
Meanwhile, Region #7 squeaked past Region #9 by a 2-0 score. Andrew Simons found the back of the net in the 21st minute. On the other hand, Region #10 and Region #1 played to a scoreless affair.
