Prior to the start of the event, which is being sponsored by the entity in excess of $10,000,000, a March-Past featuring 11 teams was conducted.

Tiger Rentals Country Manager Shane Singh said, “We are confident that this can only bode well for Guyana and its nurturing of youth for the future. We look forward to supporting this tournament while assisting the GFF to fulfill its obligations to grow football throughout all of Guyana.”

GFF President Wayne Forde said, “The GFF alone cannot organise football in Guyana. Partnerships like these, with the corporate community and other stakeholders are key for the continued development of the game locally.”

The tournament will utilize an initial round-robin stage featuring clubs and Academy Training Centre (ATC) teams before progressing to an elimination section.
