Carjacking accused held with suspected stolen car parts

A carjacking accused from Kuru Kuru College Road was yesterday held with suspected stolen car parts.

 

A release from the police said that Insp Camacho and a party of police from Vigilance Police Station were on a Mobile Patrol with Force motor vehicle PAC 5274 in the vicinity of Annandale Market, where the ranks observed a Silver Grey Premio bearing registration # PVV 3945, owned by a Kuru Kururu Soesdyke-Linden Highway resident and heavily tinted drive off at a fast rate. The ranks pursued the car and it came to a stop. The driver,  age 26 years of Kuru Kuru College Road, Soesdyke-Linden Highway, who is presently before the court for carjacking was detained.

 

A search was carried out on his person and a motor vehicle and  four silver Premio car doors were found, 2 in the back seat and 2 in the trunk. He was told of the offence, cautioned and arrested.
