Registration starts for Kares CrossFit Caribbean Championships

The calendar has flipped to February and registration has commenced for the first annual Kares CrossFit Caribbean Championships scheduled for April 15-16.

According to event organizer Jamie McDonald, the National Aquatic Centre and the National Park will play host to the fixture which is geared towards becoming the Caribbean’s premier CrossFit event. McDonald, the CEO of Fitness Express, Guyana’s leading supplement and gym equipment supplier added that he has gotten “positive responses from athletes from Trinidad, Suriname and Barbados and we are hoping to also attract athletes from St Maarten, Jamaica and French Guiana.”

Athletes desirous of competing, are required to pay a fee of US$25. Registration forms can be filled out at Fitness Express on Sheriff Street or on the Kares CrossFit Caribbean Championships Facebook and Instagram pages.

The grand prize of $US3500 each will go to the winner of the RX male and female category. Guyana’s fittest pair, Dillon Mahadeo and Delice Adonis will be vying for the top prize along with their Caribbean counterparts.

5th– US$500

US$250 will also be awarded per event win
