It was vintage Kevin Jeffrey on Sunday as the veteran speed demon drove like a man possessed and swept the featured Group 4 class at the South Dakota Grand Prix.

Piloting his renowned Mitsubishi Evo 8 ‘Bush Cow’, Jeffrey turned back the clock and showed his class and driving prowess on the track on which he has held the checkered flag on numerous occasions.

With his son and pre-race favorite, Kristian suffering mechanical problems, the elder statesman stormed to victory in all three Group Four encounters. Kevin staved off long-time rival, Mark Vieira in a fascinating duel which rekindled their rivalry of old.

The veteran ace driver then showered praises on his team for accomplishing a perfect day of racing.

“These guys worked tirelessly. This was a total team effort- I was just the pilot. In a long time we didn’t see the ‘Cow’ working like this, but I don’t take any of the credit for it, it’s the crew,” Kevin stated.

Also turning in dominant performances were Azaad Hassan with a clean sweep of the Sport Tuner category and Stephen Vieira with two victories and a second place finish in the Superbikes.
