Less than 5 months after President Irfaan Ali walked the streets of Yarrowkabra and Kuru Kururu to listen to the concerns of residents, the PPP/C Government has invested $1.3b to enhance the communities’ road network, according to a release from the Ministry of Public Works.

At a contract signing ceremony in the community yesterday morning, community leaders and residents commended the Head of State for delivering on his promises to the people.

Minister in the Ministry of Public Works, Deodat Indar said the 18 rigid pavement concrete road projects measuring 12.36km will result in highway-standard streets (4300psi) that will last for decades.

The Minister also encouraged the contractors to employ residents from the communities and minimize inconveniences at the project sites.

Minister of Public Affairs Kwame McCoy also delivered remarks at the event.
