CAC Bodybuilding & Fitness Championships

-El Salvador’s Pineda wins Pro Card

Guyana’s Rawle Greene and Remalton Siland kept the Golden Arrowhead flying high as they secured respective gold medals when the Central America & Caribbean (CAC) Bodybuilding & Fitness Championships commenced yesterday at the National Cultural Centre, Mandela Avenue.

Competing in the Men’s Classic Masters Open, Green flexed his way to the top prize, relegating Bonaire’s Jose Salah to second place.

In similar fashion, Siland mirrored the performance of Green, as he secured first place in the Men’s Fitness category, defeating Alexander Kemp of the Bahamas and Daniel Gutierrez of El Salvador, who finished in that order.

Green also returned to secure a silver medal finish in the Men’s Classic Bodybuilding Senior Over-173cm division, losing out narrowly to Antigua and Barbuda’s Travon Giddings. Jurad Mason of Barbados clinched the third spot.

However, Edgar Pineda of El Salvador was the overall standout performer of the opening night, as he won the Overall Men’s Classic Bodybuilding title. He also captured another gold medal in the Men’s Physique category to earn his Pro Card status. Meanwhile, Amalia Araniva of El Salvador won the Women’s Artistic Fitness division, while Leanna Carter of Barbados walked away with the Women’s Physique crown.

Also, Barbados’s Danielle Holder walked away with the Women’s Body Fitness Masters O-35 title, defeating Mexicans Marisol Ramos and Maria Villegas.

Similarly, Barbadian Tyrell Forde won the Muscular Men’s Physique title, while Nicaragua’s Maxwell Vallejos won the Men’s Games Classic crown. Kirk Bovell of Barbados also won the Men’s Classic Physique Masters Open crown.
