New Integrity Commission could be ready in a week

New members of the Integrity Commission could be sworn-in within a week, Prime Minister Samuel Hinds announced last night as the National Assembly approved a government motion to ensure that Members of Parliament submit annual declarations in keeping with the provisions of the Integrity Act.

Mabaruma without power for weeks

After being without electricity for close to a month, residents of the Mabaruma Sub-Region are planning to protest at the offices of the regional administration over the issue and other matters.

Work on troubled Kumaka revetment halted

Work on the Kumaka revetment in the Mabaruma Sub-region has stalled for the second time this year and loads of earth, which were packed into the area, were last evening falling into the nearby Aruka River.
